How it works:*Like the agricultural version, my CSA will be run by selling shares in advance of my creative outflow for the year. I am always working on new paintings and etchings, and also new products and ways of presenting my work, so for me this offers motivation to create and explore, as well as the financial backing to do so. 2010 will be the third successful year. *There are two plans, a monthly CSA and a seasonal CSA. *Hopefully every share will be like getting those yummy ripe tomatoes in your veggie CSA, but there’s always the danger that you’ll get the equivalent of a bushel of rutabagas...it’s a gamble, but I promise it will be fun and interesting. *This is a great gift idea!!! Imagine your friend getting a present every month... What you get:*Receive something fun from my product line, a seasonally appropriate arty surprise at the start of every month or season (depending on your plan), beginning in January, 2010. This might be a small print, a journal, some handmade Valentines, a selection of Christmas cards, a T-shirt, a funky little box, tile coasters...new work or new formats. Also, CSA members will be the first to see any new card designs. hIf there’s a holiday that usually uses a card, I’ll include one in your share (i.e. for Mother’s Day). *Additional discounts and coupons for members. *A good feeling about supporting my creative process throughout the year! Two options:Monthly CSA *If you’re local to the Ithaca area, and can pick up your share, the cost for the year will be $240 ($20 per month). Pick-up will be at the Farmers’ Market from April–December on the first weekend of each month, and some other local spot during the winter. *If you would like your share mailed to you, or a gift for someone far away, the cost for the year will be $294 ($24.50 per month). *If you join partway through the year, the cost will be prorated for the remaining months. Seasonal CSA *This is a simpler version of my year-round CSA, sort of the junior varsity equivalent. Instead of a monthly share, you will receive something fun from my product line on or near the first day of each season, 4 times a year on the equinoxes and solstices, beginning with the Spring equinox on March 21, 2010. *If you’re local to the Ithaca area, and can pick up your share, the cost for the year will be $100 ($25 per season). Pick-up will be at the Farmers’ Market, except for the Spring share (we will make other arrangements). *If you would like your share mailed to you, or a gift for someone far away, the cost for the year will be $118 ($29.50 per season).
